Michael Wayne Lancaster, Sr. of New London passed away December 26, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born July 28, 1954 to the late Richard J. And Vivian I. Lancaster. Michael graduated from New London High School June 1972. Michael was employed @ Electric Boat, Foxwoods Casino, Securitas and Mohegan Sun Casino. Michael enjoyed playing men's softball, football and was also as a member of the Mean Machine basketball team while employed by Electric Boat. Michael's favorite teams were the Giants and the Celtics. Michael is survived by the love of his life his son Michael, Jr. and wife Carmen. His grandsons Alex Perdomo and Brandon Lancaster (Brianna), his brothers Anthony L., Brian B., his sisters Beverly M. McKelvin, Doreen E.and Vivian I., and his companion Victoria Newbury. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Kathryn Jones, Gail Speedwell, Richard "Smokey", Burt and his grandson Joseph Perdomo.
He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday December 30, 2017 at the Byles Memorial Home, www.byles.com , 99 Huntington St, New London.
His burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Center for Hospice Care, 227 Dunham St, Norwich, CT 06360.
