He was such a great person it is so sad that he gone so soon it just doesn't seem real at all so sad he's a good guy and a great dad his little boy loved him so so much I always loved seeing them together.... FLY HIGH BUDDY we love you and you will always be remembered

Michael's Obituary

Michael James McKown, 27, of Spencer, died August 24, 2025.

He was born March 31, 1998, at Princeton, the son of Phillip Kent McKown of Spencer and Billie Jean Shamblin McKown of LeRoy.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Eli Blake Waters and Braxtyn Andrew McKown; brothers, Denzil (Keisha) Taylor and Dustin (Nicole) McKown; sisters, Jen (Robert) Carr, Jessica Justice and April McKown; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lonnie Billy Shamblin and Barbara Jean Shamblin; paternal grandfather, Bernard Kent McKown.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Charles Fork Lake Camp.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements.
