Jessica, Wayne, and family. We were so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He had such a good sense of humor and was always so good to us. All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

Mike you were such a great person you sure will be missed everyday FLY HIGH!!

I never expected to get that call about Mike this soon in my life. He was always giving me advise, helping any way he could or making me laugh! You will be missed by all!!

I have so many great memories of Mike! He was a good friend and always there when i needed him. My thoughts and prayers are with every one of you during this time. Please reach out if any of you need anything. I love you all like family.

Michael's Obituary

Michael Alvin McPherson, 65, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at his home.

Born October 9, 1959 in Calhoun, GA, Mike was the son of the late Sarah Whilfield-Gallimore and Alvin McPherson.  He was a graduate of Carroll County High School and spent his whole life as a surveyor for the Carroll community.

Mike is survived by his loving partner, Jackie Dalton; son, Wayne McPherson; daughter, Jessica Perrin (Von); siblings, Carol Delahunt and Shane Gallimore; special family, Megan Dunfurd and Jessica Crotts; two grandchildren, Icelynn and Abram; and seven bonus grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn McPherson and brother, Keith Gallimore.

Michael’s kindness, generosity, love and humor touched everyone he met. His legacy will live on with all that knew him.  

A celebration of life service honoring Michael will be held at a later date.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
