Michael (Mike) John Maher

Mike was a good friend in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He attend my wedding in 1983 in MT and I visited him many times when he lived in Illinois. We corresponded for many years but I lost touch with him about ten years ago. I was trying to locate his address and was greatly saddened to learn of his death. He was a wonderful person and I'm sorry we lost touch and very sorry I didn't know about this until today. Brant Short

Mike´s wonderful smile will always be part of our memory of him. He was a terrific member of the SHOREWOOD community. Thank you Mike for your dedicated service. We´re so sorry that we will miss his service. Our deepest condolences to Birdie.

Birdie ... there are no words to express how sad I was to hear of Mike´s passing. You & Mike made being my neighbors for over 24 years such a wonderful experience. I´m just stunned and hope you are doing ok at this difficult time. Prayers for your friends and family

My condolences to Mike´s family. His years of service as a Shorewood village trustee provide an example for current and future elected officials to model. He prepared, showed up and acknowledged the validity of another point of view. I am grateful for his important contributions, even after he had left the board and his health was failing.

My condolences to the family. Mike was a kind man with a big heart. He was passionate about his community and worked hard as a Trustee in its behalf. He will be missed.

Birdie -- shocked and saddened to see the news this morning. Mike was a wonderful guy and sure to be missed. He gave so much to the community. I regret I will be missing visitation next week as I will be in California, but I will be there in my thoughts.
