Mr. Sippy, Viktor Frankl was right. We find meaning in life when we make effort to complete our task (work); when we care for another person (love), or by facing suffering with dignity. You found meaning in life with all three... our condolences to Jessica and the family. May your soul rest in peace!

Mike meant so much to so many people. I had so much fun going on fishing trips, out to restaurants, sitting around an open fire telling half truths or just working with him at AT&T. With Mike it was always something new, a different experience full of fun, stories, just plain memorable. I offer my condolences to his family. The depth of this loss is deep. I will hold on to what I learned from him and remember that wonderful grin that he had and that cigar he loved to smoke. God bless...

Michael "Mike" Lawrence Sippy passed away May 22nd, 2024 at the age of 78 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. He will be dearly missed.
Mike was born August 5th, 1945, in San Francisco, California to Nevin Pins Sippy and Lawrence "Buzz" Hiram Sippy. He had two sisters that he treasured, Joan Moye and Laurel Smith. He was united in marriage on September 12th, 1966 to Sandra Kelly Sippy. Their marriage spanned 57 years and there were two daughters born of the union, Christina Bequette and Jessica Hottle-Sippy.
Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army from January 6th, 1966 to January 5th, 1968. His love for his country never wavered.
He received a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Missouri St. Louis. With that he went into the business world, first at Southwestern Bell and then on to At&t as a high level executive. With his business knowledge, in 1988, he opened two dry cleaning operations and then expanded that enterprise into a successful fire and water restoration business, Garment Restoration Services.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman and talented fisherman. He grew up at Lake of the Ozarks and there he honed his skills as a fisherman and outdoorsman. Some of his best stories for his family originated from those times.
Duck hunting with his best dogs and his best friends throughout the years was a great passion of his, he lamented those times when he was no longer able to hunt. He shared his love for the outdoors with his children and later his grandchildren, taking them fishing and hunting.
A true friend to all, Mike had lifelong friends that he valued throughout his days. Many memories that he shared surrounded times spent on the river or in a duck blind with them.
Mike's greatest joy was his family. Never failing, with his wife Sandy, to lend assistance, support, love and guidance.
Mike is survived by his wife, Sandra Sippy; two daughters, Christina Bequette (Jim) and Jessica Hottle-Sippy; five grandchildren, Ryan Bequette (Chelsea), Kaitlin Roth, Ashley Bequette, Erin Roth and Mattheu Hottle-Sippy; and one great grandchild, Ruby Bequette.
