Oh, Brother Shawn. I remember the first time we met - I was spending the evening playing Phase 10 with Holli and she told me she wanted me to meet someone. I wasn’t quite sure about you immediately, but we grew on each other! :) You were never afraid to call me out but would be the first to give me a hug. Even if time passed between us seeing each other, whenever we connected - it was like no time had passed. I love you, Sister Janelle.

Michael Shawn Peirce, 55, of Byers passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Tatum, officiating.
Shawn was born on February 5, 1971 om Wichita Falls to Rodney James and Elizabeth Ann (Beagles) Peirce. He was a graduate with honors from Henrietta High School, and attended Cisco Junior College and Midwestern State University. Shawn married Hollisa Garner on September 30, 2006. He worked as a caregiver for many years.
Shawn was a wonderfully devoted husband, father, “Bampy”, son, brother, and uncle. He was a kind soul, and always generous to others, including having hugs for everyone. Shawn loved his family with all of his heart. He was involved with his children, and coached son Christian in football, basketball, and baseball. Shawn enjoyed watching him play. Words cannot express how deeply Shawn will be missed. Heaven gained a good one.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bula and James Peirce, and Wanda and James Beagles.
Shawn is survived by his wife Hollisa Garner Peirce; daughters Melissa Garner and Nicole Garner; son Christian Peirce; grandchildren Kashton and Kamilya Floyd; his parents Rod and Liz Peirce; brother JJ Peirce and wife Candice; brother-in-law David Garner; nieces Brooklynn and Baylee Peirce, and Arabella Garner; and nephews Bo Peirce and Ian Garner.
