Michael Reese

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Shane Reese, a devoted husband, loving Daddy, and cherished Pop-pop! Michael cashed in his Golden ticket to his eternal home on August 19th 2025. He was 53 years of age.

Michael was the embodiment of kindness, compassion, FUN and unwavering love. As a husband, he stood as a pillar of strength and support for his beloved wife of 33 years, Abigail, creating a bond that was truly unbreakable. As a father, he was the guiding light for Reba & Will, nurturing them with patience, wisdom, and an endless well of love. To his grandchildren, he was a gentle, playful Pop-pop, whose heart was always open and whose laughter filled every room.

Michael's life was marked by his generosity and selflessness. Whether it was offering a listening ear, lending a helping hand, or providing comfort in times of need, he gave without expectation, always putting others before himself.

He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and a family united by the values he instilled in them. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael is survived by his wife, of 33 beautiful years, Abigail. Daughter Reba Savannah Reese Thigpen (CJ) & Son William Michael Reese, all of Florala. Two grandchildren,  Brantley & Kennedy Thigpen of Florala . Brother, Cleve Reese, Bonus Dad Terry Clary & special Sister-In-Love,  Cathy Ward, all of Florala. Numerous Neices, Nephews, cousins & Friends.  Michael was welcomed to Heaven by His Heavenly Father, his parents William & Christine Reese, Brother Gary Reese as well as many special, Aunts, Uncles, cousins & friends.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 at 2pm at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

The family will receive family and friends at his home where our beloved Micheal will be lying in state.
