I never had the opportunity to meet Michael personally. I only knew him through his wife, Adie. Seeing her love and devotion for him over the last 8 years, he must truly have been a wonderful man. My thoughts are with you and I am here for you if you need me.

Such a sad day for our family. He was so wonderful, he took me camping, taught me how to sail a boat and taught me how to cook the best Italian food ever. I loved Uncle Mike so much. He will be truly missed. ❤

Michael J. Ricci, Jr., 96, died July 28, 2018 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and lived in Fort Pierce coming from Fort Lauderdale. Mike was an Army/Air Corps veteran and served from 1942 to 1946 as an airplane mechanic during WWII. He retired as Dania city police department detective, Dania, Florida. Mike attended St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach, Florida. He was a member of the Sundancer Model Airplane Club, loved to travel both on motorcycle and in his camper. Mike attended Prospect Hall Community College, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and received a degree in computer programming in the late seventies. Survivors include wife Adeline Ricci of Fort Pierce, daughter Barbara Marren and her son James of Lenox, Georgia, sons Michael J. Ricci, III (Leona) of Plantation, Florida and Gregory Ricci of Hollywood, Florida, sister Vonnie Costa of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, sister-in-law MaryCayer (Joe) and their children, Cheryl, Scott and Jackie, many nieces and nephews and his best friend of 35 years, Larry Lesemann of Fort Pierce. He was preceded in death by his sister Rosemary McMahon. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Michael J. Ricci, Jr.
Interment with Military Honors will be held at 2:30PM Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth,FL.
