Michael Santa Maria, 72, of Collins, NY passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Mercy Hospital. He was born October 1, 1951 in Springville, NY. He was the son of the late Joseph and Lucille (Lanza) Santa Maria. Michael graduated from North Collins Central School in 1969. While he was there, he excelled at soccer and baseball. He was selected by the Buffalo News for their All-Star teams. He was an avid guitar player and played with several rock and country groups performing at many local venues. He also had a passion for wood carving and stained-glass art. He is survived by brothers Joseph (Candice), Charles (Christine), James (Patti) and sister Cheryl Santa Maria. Michael had a long-term loving relationship with the late Mary Waterman Linde and her daughters Michelle Linde Abbey, Corinna Linde and Brandy Linde Cruz. Michael will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. A Memorial Service will be offered on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00am from the Wentland Funeral Home 10634 Main St. (Rt. 62) North Collins, NY.
