Not sure what to say?

I’m so very, very sorry to hear this news. My heart goes out to my earliest of life best friend Elyse and also Mike’s siblings Laurie and brother Eric whom I had the pleasure of knowing at different times during my life. My mom and dad where very best friends with Mike’s parents since we were very young and thus his sister Elyse became one of my very very best friends at an early age because of it. What fond memories I have of our families. May god bless all of you. From our family to...

One would be very fortunate to have known this man. Heart of Gold and loved his family and friends. I will remember him and his smile and laugh (we did a lot of that while golfing) ...I will miss him.... and I pray to God' healing peace, for his family and their knowledge he is home and playing 18 holes on Heaven's Paradise Course..:):)

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

I couldn’t have asked for a better cousin you will be missed but I will will always have the memories from our childhood RIP Mike

Obituary

Michael's Obituary

Of Troy Hill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. “Iron Mike” lived his life with a tough exterior and the biggest heart, and nothing meant more to him than his family. He was a proud father to Melissa Schindler and Evan (Jenny) Schindler, and he carried the memory of his late son, MIchael J. Schindler, close to him always. Mike’s greatest joy came from being PapPap to Olivia, Avery, Millie, and Kai - the lights of his life. Anyone who knew him knew how much he loved talking about “his kids” and “his granddaughters”, and how fiercely he loved and supported them.

Mike is survived by his sisters and brothers - Janine Guthrie (Tony), Elyse Geyer, Eric Schindler, and Laurie Pennetti - and by many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Sica Schindler.

If you knew Mike, you’ve got a story - and that’s how he’ll live on.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, we’ll gather this spring for a celebration of his life.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Mike’s name.
