Michael Ray Sheron, age 72 of Somerset, passed away on Friday, January 10,2025 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation. Michael was born on March 1, 1952 at Nashville, TN, the son of James William Sheron and Nora Ellen Shearer Sheron. Michael worked as a meat cutter and was most recently employed by WalMart.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Clark Sheron; his sons, Michael Ray Sheron of Somerset, and Benjamin Mitchell (Marla) Sheron of SC; one daughter, Susan Lee Sheron-Miller (Calvin) of Somerset; three grandchildren, Micah Miller, Bailey Sheron and Bentley Sheron; one brother, James Sheron of Stanford; two sisters, Gayle (Dennis) Barry of VA and Michelle (Mark) Kirsch of MS; extended family members and friends who are saddened by his passing.
In addition to his parents, James and Nora Sheron; Michael was preceded in death by his previous wife, Brenda Moore Sheron; and his sister, Jolene Edwards.
Visitation for Michael will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday January 15th at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Bargo officiating. Burial will be at Buffalo Springs Cemetery, (aka Stanford Cemetery) Hustonville Road, Stanford, KY.
Pall bearers will be Howard Jackson, Mike Ballou, Jason Sheron, Kevin Sheron, Micah Miller, and Martin Colyer.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Gideon Memorial Bible Fund.
