Michael's Obituary

Michael Vargas, 24, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on July 19, 2025, at North Kansas Hospital.

Michael was born on October 13, 2000, at Covenant Hospital in Plainview, Texas, to Jubencio and Hilda Vargas. He was raised in Plainview, where he developed a deep love for the game of baseball. From an early age, he stood out as a V.I.P. and All-Star player, showing both talent and passion for the sport.

In 2016, Michael and his family relocated to Kansas City, where he attended Van Horn High School. He continued his baseball journey throughout high school and graduated in 2020. Michael later met the love of his life, his beautiful fiancé, Aaliyah Tialino in 2023.

Michael was a young man full of passion, especially when it came to his family. He was kind, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Known for his warm personality and lively sense of humor, Michael could brighten any room with his smile and make anyone laugh with his jokes and clever comebacks. His heart was as big as his spirit, and touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Michael made a big choice of being an organ donor, to continue giving and saving lives as he was the most genuine and generous person.

Michael is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Maria Avalos Perez.

He is survived by his fiancé, Aaliyah Tialino; son, Adriel; soon to be born daughter, father, Jubencio Vargas; mother, Hilda Vargas; four brothers, Jubencio Vargas Jr., Valentine Vargas, Victor Vargas, and Julian Vargas—all of Kansas; and two sisters, Dolores Vargas of Michoacán, Mexico, and Dulce Vargas of Kansas City. He also leaves behind countless other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Michael Vargas aka “Mike de la ram” will forever be deeply cherished in our hearts along with all the countless memories.
