Michele's Obituary

Michele Ann Leivas Hernandez was called home by God on August 16, 2025 in Palm Springs, California at the age of 54. She took her last breath at 6:48 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Michele was born in Blythe, California on August 22, 1970 to Manuel and Gloria Leivas. She was raised as an only child up until the age of 12, when she was blessed with her little brother Joseph Leivas.

Michele had the best childhood being raised with lots of cousins whom she considered to be like her brothers and sisters.

She graduated from Twin Palms High School in 1988 and later that year brought her first child into the world. Michele loved being a mother so much, she ended up having a total of nine children.

Although Michele’s life was cut short, she lived every second to the fullest. Her memories will be forever remembered and cherished.

Michele was a devoted Catholic and she let her faith guide her through life. In February of 2019 she married Jorge Hernandez Sr. at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Michele made such an incredible impact on every person she came in contact with. She was very loved and will be missed every day.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Bree Anna Leivas Gallardo, her grandson Aaron Holquin, her maternal grandparents B.V. and Celia Torres and her paternal grandparents Manuel and Rosenda Leivas.

She is survived by her husband Jorge Hernandez Sr., her children Jon, Robert, Marci, Cali, Leah, Suni, Kori and Jose Angel; her parents Manuel and Gloria Leivas; her 16 grandchildren Celia, Robert Jr., Arianna, Kimberly, Bobby Joe, Leilani, Marissa, Manuel, Saige, Mateo, Baby Tony, Mila, Reno, Dakota, and Jaxon, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
