Miguel's Obituary

Miguel Angel Oropesa born March 5, 1949 in La Jolla, TX. to Florinda Molina, passed away peacefully inhis home surrounded by his loved ones on April 5, 2025. He met his Corazon, Maria Oropesa, on July 4,1972 in Corpus Christi, TX and followed her to Midland, TX where they married on January 20, 1973. Hewas a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a cursillista member. Miguel was a self-contractor andloved to help others. If you were close to him, you had a special nickname. Miguel was an outgoingperson and those that knew him knew he was a jokester. He loved to make people laugh and show offhis dancing skills at dances. He was a big fan of Las Chivas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Maria Inez Oropesa. As well as his pride and joy daughtersknown as las hijas del Mikeo: Alicia Paredes (Ramiro), Linda Oropesa (Mando Perez) Elizabeth Sedeghi(Ali) and Martha Oropesa all of Midland, TX.Three brothers Marcelino Oropeza of Midland, TX, Rafael Molina of Ojinaga, Chihuahua and AntonioMolina of Tangancicuaro, Michoacan.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his thirteen Grandchildren: Mark Paredes (Tea), Miguel Paredes,Ramiro Paredes III (Kameron), Pat Galindo, Izabella Perez, Jaylah Perez, Sabastian Oropesa, Josiah Pena(Bianka), Dominic Sedeghi (Brisa), Micah Sedeghi, John Michael Cervantez (Avarie Nunez), Joe AngelCervantez (Jocelyn Salazar) Jazmine Oropesa all of Midland, TX.Twelve Great Grandchildren Emery Paredes, Camila Paredes, Amara Paredes, Amori Paredes, NovahParedes, Uriah Pena, Kai Oropesa, Izrayel Pena, Evangeline Sedeghi, Elayna Cervantez, Cash Cervantez,Ezra Cervantez all from Midland, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers in his honor will be his 10 grandsons.The family would like to send a gratitude to Hospice of Midland for all the support and care they showedthe family during this time. 

Viewings will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10:00am to 9:00pm with a rosary to be recited Friday evening at 7:00pm at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home and Chapel located at 405 N. Terrell, Midland, TX. Funeral Mass is set for Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
