Sorry for the loss of the special Lady. She and my mother worked together at Hanes Hosiery for several years and she lived across the street from me when she lived in Boonville.

When she introduced herself I thought she said, Bill! And so, she laughed and said, "That's alright..." I first remember her beautiful sister Lois, and then came to know Zella, Mildred, and Wanda. Our memories of moments count, the Pilgrim Church on Oakland Dr., Royall-Cox Agency, Muncas Brothers, big smiles and laughter, and prayer closets. Each moment bears a life story. My memories of Mildred go back to my childhood when we were neighbors in North Elkin. She was always smiling and was such a beautiful person. When she worked at Muncus Brother's, I would call her and tell her how many fresh shrimp I needed and she would have them ready for me when I got there. And of course we would always have to talk and laugh for a while.
