Mildred was a kind, gentle woman who left an impression on all those who were fortunate enough to know her.I was blessed to work with Mildred during the 19 years she taught in Port Washington and she was highly respected by the colleagues with whom she taught but especially loved by her students.Mildred could calm an anxious ,upset student with the perfect words presented in a loving manner. It was my honor to know her. There was always a welcome seat at her table and she made every occasion special. Family was everything to her and what a beautiful family she had. May you all find comfort and peace.

Mildred was my mentor and my friend. She helped shape me into who I am today and brought me closer to my faith through example. I loved her and will never forget her. RIP sweet Mildred. ❤
