Mildred's Obituary

Mrs. Mildred Troupe was born on May 18, 1940, in Soperton, Georgia, to the late Willie and Mary Miller. She devoted her life to caring for others, spending 30 years as a valued employee at Bethany Nursing Home. Afterward, she continued her service to the community at Meadows Memorial Hospital until her well-deserved retirement in 2001. During her retirement, she found new purpose as a loving foster parent, extending her nurturing spirit to children in need.

Mildred was a true “Woman of God,” embodying faith, love, and selflessness in every aspect of her life. She gave generously to all who crossed her path, asking nothing in return. Her unwavering devotion to her family was evident in her every action, always placing their needs above her own. She loved deeply, lived unselfishly, and excelled in everything she pursued. In her leisure, she enjoyed the tranquility of fishing, a pastime that brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tommy Q. Curry, and her cherished granddaughter, Jasmine Curry.

Mildred’s memory will be forever treasured by her devoted husband of 56 years, Lewis Troupe, and their loving family; daughters, Mary Butler and Magdalene Blair both of Dublin, GA, Maggie Glasper (Darrin) of Ailey, GA, Chandreal Spikes and Tammy Mitchell, both of Warner Robins, GA; Sons, William Page of Dublin, GA, Frankie Curry (Denise) of Wrightsville, GA, Renaldo Troupe (Sierra) of Fayetteville, NC, Malcolm Troupe and Fabian Troupe, both of Dublin, GA; 24 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
