Millard Pruitt, Jr.

Millard Pruitt, Jr. age 87, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at his home near Piedmont. He was born April 13, 1937 in the Peachtree community, the son of Millard Pruitt, Sr. and Ruth (Ward) Pruitt.

A long time resident of Peachtree, Millard was a heavy equipment operator at Gads Hill. He was married to Ethel Lundry and she passed away in 2007. He was then married to Mary Kyle and she passed away in 2020.

Also preceding him in death are his parents, Millard and Ruth Pruitt.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Denise Schimweg, of Hurculaneum, MO, Debbie Pruitt, of Bonne Terre, MO; 1 sister, Betty Pruitt Wildman, of Piedmont, 5 grandchildren, Brandi Schimweg, Richard Burton, Jr., Becki Tracy, Makayla Garbison and Kendra Garbison; 6 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Visitation was held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Funeral services followed at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Richard Sanders officiating. Special recorded songs were played for the service and Tristen Blackwell, Jon Garbison, Steve Lundry, Larry Lundry, Richard Burton and Ervin Williams served as Pall Bearers. 

Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery.
