Obituary

Mr. Allan's Obituary

Allen Duane Joseph was born on February 9, 1960, in Beaumont, Texas, to Sherman Sr. and Estella Babineaux Joseph. He was the eighth child born into the Joseph family, a family rooted in love, strength, and deep connection.

Allen attended public schools in Beaumont, Texas, and graduated from Beaumont Charlton-Pollard High School in 1978. After high school graduation, Allen served his country proudly in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he later attended MCI Technical School in Houston, Texas, where he earned an Associate Degree in Computer Programming. Allen was employed as a computer programmer with Baker Hughes until his health failed in 2003.

Allen was an avid tennis player and a devoted football fan. He was a die-hard Central Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers fan—never missing a chance to cheer them on. He truly enjoyed watching sports and passionately supported local high school teams. Above all, he loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. He found great joy in taking pictures and creating lasting memories with those he loved.

On March 18, 2026, Allen’s work here on earth was complete, and he transitioned from labor to reward at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Sr. and Estella Babineaux Joseph; his brother, Sherman “Dooney” Joseph Jr.; his godson, Martin Joseph; and his faithful companion, Seven.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings: Kathleen Wheeler, Donald Joseph Sr. (Joshlin); Ourelia “Ann” Minkins (Kenneth); John “PeeWee” Joseph, Judith “Black” Johnson, Debra Joseph, James “Dizzy” Joseph, Gaylon Joseph Sr., David Joseph, and Michael Joseph. He also leaves his beloved fur-baby, Mimi.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his goddaughters, Regina Wheeler and Dalana Bennett, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear family friends.

Allen’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
