David was born third in line of seven siblings on September 19, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the parents of Elder Willie and Joyce Love. His parents instilled in him the love of God at a very early age. David was also reared by his grandparents, Reverend Eddie and Estella Smith, in Ashburn, Georgia. They also faithfully guided him in God’s word.
David’s education was obtained in Miami, Florida, and Ashburn, Georgia. He also had a short stint in the military.
David developed various skills through employment: brick mason, construction, carpentry, and welding. David was outgoing, and he also had a great ability to apply his knowledge to whatever he put his focus on, with a great knack for fixing things. His hobbies were fishing and sports.
David had a sharp-witted personality, always quick to speak his mind. A man of many talents, David was a skilled imitator, a great musical voice (loved good ole gospel and soul music), a natural comedian, and was capable of drawing anything he set his mind to.
David will be truly missed by his family and close friends. He’s predeceased by his parents and grandparents, daughter, Lakesha Love, sister, Jerona Meadows, and brothers, Daniel Love and Jacob Love, and brother-in-law, Herbert Lee Jones, Jr.
David leaves to mourn and carry on: his daughter, Latisha Love; Andrea Section (goddaughter); sisters, Doretha Love-Jones, Deborah Love; brothers, Joseph Love, Phillip Love; aunt, Irene Watts; nieces, Monique Love, Gerona Meadows; nephews, Elijah Armstrong, AnTwan Jones (Mellisa), Eldrin Jones, Delton Jones, Charlie Meadows, Russell Meadows, Lambrin Meadows (Louie). He also leaves to mourn three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; first cousins: Connie Watts, Shelly Watts, Jacqueline Morten, Ralph Morten, Timothy Morten; a host of great nephews, great nieces, 2nd & 3rd cousins and a very close acquaintance, Annie Manning, fiancée.
