Mr. Davieon S.'s Obituary

Mr. Davieon Shamarquis Lavant of 701 West 28th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your own mask. 

Davieon Shamarquis Lavant was born July 25, 1993. The son of Loweta Wilson Harris and Archie Lester, he was born at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

Davion was educated in the public schools of  Crisp County.  As a child he attended worship service at the Gethsemane Baptist Church.  

Davieon was self employed.  He was the owner of his own clothing line.  

On Friday, January 5, 2024, his earthly life ended at the Crisp Regional Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Bridgett Wilson and his brother, Koskins Lavant.  His grandparents, Woodrow & Margie Wilson and Johnnie Mae Lester also precede him in death.

He will forever be remembered by his parents, Loweta Harris (Zeke) of Cordele, Georgia and Archie (Alice) Lester of Americus, Georgia; his aunt who served as a 2nd mother, Johnnie Mae (William) Smith of Cordele, Georgia; his children, Davieon Appling, Davianna Lavant, Ta’Niyah Clark, Alonna Towns, Amira Towns, and Amarie Towns of Cordele, Georgia; his girlfriend, A’Kayla Jackson of Cordele, Georgia; his sisters, Brittany (Edgar) Lee, Tamara Smith, and Samihya Smith of Cordele, Georgia; his brothers, Tremell Wilson (Damanique), Chester King, Jr. (Khadeejah), Raffeal Wilson, Archie Lester, Jr., Rontavious Lester, and Jaquavious Williams of Cordele, Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Leon (Nancy) Wilson, Woodrow Wilson, Jr., Deacon Johnny J. (Sheila) Wilson, Roscoe (Gladys) Wilson, Linda Wilson, Mary Kinchens, Johnny Lester, Reverend Nekita (Eddie Mae) Lester,    Lonnie (Barbara) Walker, Ira Brown, and David (Renae) Lester of Cordele, Georgia, Ruth Pinkett of Denver, Colorado and Barbara Wilson of Warner Robins, Georgia; many nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
