Mr. Earnest's Obituary

Mr. Earnest Colbert, Jr. of 2196 Warwick Arabi Road, Cordele, Georgia died Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Earnest Colbert, Jr. was born November 11, 1977 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia.  He was born to the late Earnest Colbert, Sr. and the late Emma Lois Wimbush.

He was educated in the public school system and was a graduate of the Tri-County High School in Buena Vista, Georgia.

For 24 years he was employed by Georgia Golf Carts as a Mechanic.

He never met a person that didn’t become a friend.  He was gentle and kind.  He will be missed by all.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022 he transitioned from this life to life eternal leaving many precious memories to his loving and devoted children, Anastasia Armstrong and Tyrese Armstrong both of Ocala, Florida, and Marquise Wates of Cordele, Georgia; his loving sisters, Katrina Smith of Buford, Georgia, Tawana (Eddie) Baisden and Roxana  Shelton both of Ellaville, Georgia;  his beloved brothers, Willie Wimbush of Atlanta, Georgia, James (Angela) Shelton of Columbus, Georgia, Alvin (Wanda) Shelton of Cusseta, Georgia, Eric Shelton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jamaine Colbert of Pascagoula, Mississippi; a host of aunts and uncles; many cousins, to include a special cousin whom he regard as a brother, Michael Clark of Ellaville, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends, to include his future brother-in-law, Mr. Michael Record, Sr. of Buford, Georgia.
