Earvin Yellorday was born December 20, 1944 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to the late Willard Yellorday and Mable Lee Yellorday. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Williamsburg, VA.
Earvin, also known as “Yak”, relocated at an early age to Newport News, VA where he attended school. He worked many years with the Moffitt Restoration Company. One of his passions was his cars.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vivian Brown Newby. He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Earvin Newsome; three sisters, Louise Washington of Hampton, VA, Iona Pierce of Newport News, VA, Dora Yellorday of Panama City, FL; two brothers, Willie Lee Yellorday and Steve Yellorday of Richmond, VA; and a host of great-grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Viewing will be held 12noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the funeral home, with Rev. Irvin Melvin, Officiating. The Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
