Mr White was a man who was loved by so many. Ponce De Leon park was a safe place because of his presence and his ability to communicate. God bless his family and I personally thank God for his impact in my life.

A celebration of life service for Mr. June M. White will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Tampa, Florida 33610, Senior Pastor Rev. Adrian Reid, Officiating with Rev. Michael White, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL 33605.
June was born in Register, Georgia to Valdez White-Johnson. He moved to Tampa at an early age to live with his mother and stepfather, Ezekiel (Zeke) Johnson. He attended schools in the Hillsborough School District and graduated from Middleton High School, Class of 1957. He went on to attend Florida A & M University. His journey of services began with the City of Tampa Recreation Department where he served for 38 years. He was also the Area Director of Model City Program. After Model City Program ended, he continued with the City of Tampa Recreation and completed his service at Ponce de Leon Playground.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Valdez White-Johnson; stepfather, Ezekiel (Zeke) Johnson; brother, Richard S. White; nephews, Joseph and Ricky White; sister-in-law, Emma Irene White.
Mr. White leaves to cherish memories of him with his wife of 64 years, Delores Moten White; children Adrian O. White and Eric J. White; grandchildren, Adrian O. White II, Whitney White and Christian K. White; great grandson, Kaden Johnson.; nieces, Sharon D. White, Vicki L. Carswell (Curtis), Cynthia R. Malcom (Deral) of Atlanta Georgia and Teresa Precia (Dwayne} of Monticello, Florida; nephews, Rev. Michael V. White (Eurena), Kevin White, Reginald A. Madison (Krista) of Fayetteville, Georgia, Samuel A. Madison Jr. of Davie, Florida; a host of other nephews; host of grand and great grandnieces; cousin, Johnny Ferrell (Mildred); a host of other cousins; cousins-in-law, Willie Harris and Alonzo Randolph (Jennie) of Hampton, VA; cousins/nieces, Paula George (Willie), Pamela Ferrell, Deborah Bliss, Daphyne Daniels (Keith) and Simone Avery; cousins/nephews, Jose Lara (Melissa), Grady Ferrell III, and Willie Harris Jr. (Sheila); brother-in-law, Samuel A. Madison (Mary) of Monticello, Florida; special friends and devoted friends, Ann Little, Luella Carrington and Gloria Shellman Hearns; special daughters, Linda Edwards and Valerie Borders and a host of other relatives and friends.
THERE WILL BE NO REPAST. The family request that all family members please meet at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday for the service.
