Thank you for guiding me through military service and the art of song. You are a ray of sunshine and a guiding light that will always have a piece of my heart and loving memory.

You were a great father in law.

It pains me to write this letter.This is Camille, the youngest granddaughter of Mr. Larry Hodge. This past Saturday made a year of him being in heaven (his heavenly birthday). I just wanted to write this to express my gratitude to this amazing grandfather I love him so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much and as well as my family! I am here for you guys and again, I love ya'll!

As you remember your loved one, may you find comfort in the good times you shared and in the memories that live on.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

MR.LARRY's Obituary

Mr. Larry Hodge Sr. was born to the late Willie Dock and Mary Rowe Hodge on March 26, 1946 in Calhoun County, Georgia.  After relocating to Jacksonville, FL, he received his education in the local schools of Duval County and graduated from Stanton Senior High School.

Subsequently, Larry enlisted and served his country in the US Army until being Honorably Discharged.

After returning to civilian life, he began a career spanning several years.  He was employed by Southern Bell (now AT&T) and most recently YUM! Brands (consisting of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut franchises). His special interests included his Gospel Cavaliers, where he served as Vice President.

He is preceded in death by his former wife, Wilma Hodge; sisters, Creola Threadcraft, Willie Mae Curry, Doris Jacobs, Lucinda Williams, Bernice Hart, Inez Hodge; brothers, Henry Hodge and Saul Hodge.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife,  Lisa Hodge; daughters, Alana Veal(Larry), Tameca Murray, and Erica Crenshaw; son, Larry Hodge Jr.; stepdaughters, Katrina Driskell (Brandon), Jalisa Hinkins (Darius), and Willaye Daisy; grandchildren; siblings; Mamie Shaw, Savilla Bailey, Nellie Tunsill (Lawrence). Willie (Elease) and Donald Hodge; as well as a number of other loving relatives and friends, including The Gospel Cavaliers.
