Mr. Nathaniel's Obituary

Viewing Wednesday 1-6pm at Roberts Chapel. Funeral 12 noon Thursday at Roberts Chapel, burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Face Protection and Social Distancing Required. Nathaniel Reese, Sr. "Nay" was born July 1, 1939, to the late Jesse L. and Annie Ruth Reese, Sr. in Birmingham, Alabama. He confessed Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of the 22nd Ave Baptist Church until his health began to fail in March 2020.He was educated in Birmingham City Schools, graduating from A.H. Parker High School. He was employed with Alpha Lumber Company for many years and retired from there 2001. "Nay" was preceded in death by his loving and dedicated wife Mary Louise Reese. To this union four children were born Nathaniel II, Sharon Denise, Ronald Derrick and Nadine Michelle. He leaves to cherish precious memories his children, Nathaniel Reese, II (Darlene), Sharon McGrue (Clifford), Ronald Reese (Donna) and Nadine Reese; Loving grandchildren, LaRonda Kennedy, Alexis Brown (Gregory), Ronald Fuller (Paige), Nathaniel Reese, III, Jessica Reese, Jordan Perrier (Robert), Danielle McGrue, Rachel Reese, Halli Reese and Lauryn Watts; Great-grandchildren, LaDarrin Kennedy, Jr., Karsyn Brown, Leilani Kennedy, Jaxon Kurtz, Aiden Brown and Justice Perrier; Sisters, Diane Hughes (Wade), Sylvia Jackson and Ozera Nichols (Richard); many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
