Mr. Preston's Obituaries

Preston graduated from Parker High School and was a graduate of Morehouse College, Class of '75. He worked for and retired from the Federal Reserve Bank. Family Hour will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 from 7:30 until 8:30 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Pilgrim Lutheran (Unity) Church, 447 - 1st Street North, Birmingham, Alabama 35204. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Preston married Carolyn Clark and to this union one son was born. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth T. Hughes, father, Preston Hughes, Jr. and brother, Frederick L. Hughes. Survivors include: son, Preston Hughes, IV; brother, Demarco; sister, Tunisia. Smith & Gaston Southside directing.
