Mr. Sawaski's Obituary

Mr. Sawaski L. Holman was born on November 3, 1977, to Mr. William Holman and the late Mrs. Joan Council Holman in Holly Hill, South Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, as the result of a fatal car accident.

Sawaski, better known as “Moe”, grew up in the Unity community and received his education in the public schools of Holly Hill.

“Moe” was self-employed as a skilled carpenter in the area for many years. He took enormous pride in his work and was in high demand for his craft.

Sawaski was well-liked by his peers due to his friendly demeanor.  He enjoyed talking to everyone he encountered. He was a “people-person.”  His presence will be missed in the community. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Council Holman.

He leaves to cherish fond memories:  one son, Josef Holman of Columbia, SC;  his father, William Holman of the home; three brothers:  Wallace Council of Branchville, SC; Bennie Lee (Chandra) Holman of Holly Hill, SC and William Allen Holman of Holly Hill, SC; a sister, Carol Holman of the home; two nephews raised in the home: Quenton Holman and Tykeem Holman; aunts:  Lillie Keitt, Maggie Little, Roslyn Nicholson, Peggy (Bollie) Brown, Vallie Bennett, Albertha Thomas, Margaret Holman, Annie M. (Tommie) Profit, Reather (James) Richburg, Barbara Whitley, Generis Dennis, Jessie Dailey, Donna Lambright, Margarite Booket, and Shonda Lambright; uncles: Sammie Lambright, James (Jeanette) Lambright, Willie (Shirley) Lambright, and O’Neal (Alicia) Lambright; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that will cherish precious memories.
