Mr. Than Ninh

Mr. Than Ninh, 86, husband of the late Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tu and son of the late Mr. Than Cuong and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thieu. He was born on December 15, 1930 at Dien Ban, Quang Nam, Viet-Nam. On April 2nd, 1950, he was happily married to his late wife for 57 years. They were blessed with ten beautiful children, three sons, and seven daughters.Mr. Than Ninh served his beloved country of Vietnam in the Army for over twenty years under the first Republic of Vietnamese government Ngo Dinh Diem. He was the first governor of Quang Tin province in Vietnam, the chief commander of the Military Training Academy in Nha Trang, and served in many leadership positions in the Vietnamese Army. He retired from the military service to become a successful businessman. After more than ten years living in prison in a communist concentration camp, he was reunited with family in the United States. He was always loving and caring not only for his family, but also for others. As a result of his generous character and personality, he was loved by many.On early Monday morning, August 15, 2016 at Fallbrook, California, he departed this life in his sleep peacefully. His rich life will forever be cherished in the life of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of devoted sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
