Mr. William “Mickey” West, 66, of Highland Park, Michigan, formerly of Cross, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 4, 2025. Born May 10, 1959, in Berkeley County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late James and Rev. Charlotte West.
A 1977 graduate of Cross High School, he excelled as an All-Star football player wearing #24 for the Trojans. Following high school, he served honorably in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division. After 13 years of military service, he continued his career in public service at McDougall Correctional Center; and later construction in Michigan.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, and a son.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and many friends.
