Willie Malone Sr. was born on December 13, 1935, in Plaisance, Louisiana, to the late Westley Malone and Esther Thierry Malone. He was the fourth of thirteen children from their union. Willie attended Plaisance Public Schools.
In later years, he met the love of his life, Anne Bell Edwards, and they were united in holy matrimony. From this union, three children were born: Bobby, Linda, and Ronald. Later in life, he married Mary Ann Bertrand. From this union, Terri, Willie Jr., and Gary were born. Willie later joined Truelight Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Alvin J. Noel. Three years ago, he relocated to Beaumont, Texas, with his sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Charles Henderson.
Willie was a dedicated worker, having been employed with Local #207 and the Lake Charles Stevedores. He loved his work as a bricklayer until his health started to decline. An avid outdoorsman who was a hunter and fisherman, he was also a talented farmer and had a deep love for his horses. Willie’s passions and hard work truly reflected his kind and lively spirit.
On Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Willie's calm spirit quietly departed from this earth. His grateful life will be forever remembered by his surviving daughters, Linda Polar (Johnny), Terri Malone, and his son, Gary Malone. Willie is also survived by his sister, Georgia Henderson (Charles), eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A special acknowledgment is extended to Mr. Edward Henry (Mr. Fuzzy), a dear friend.
Preceded in death by his parents, Westley and Esther Thierry Malone; sons, Bobbie Malone, Ronald Malone, and Willie Malone Jr.; sisters, Eltha Batiste, Eltra Bilbo, Elsie Castille, Edna Hawkins; and brothers, Emmertom, Jerrel, Merrel, Ashley, William, and Evertton Malone.
