The very special date of October 21, 1946 marked the beginning of a very remarkable left of our beloved Dorothy Ann McGuire Walker. She was a gift to her parents, the late John McGuire and Willie Mae Abner McGuire. God, in His infinite power and love gently transported from earthly labor to a place of eternal request November 23, 2025 while under the medical care of the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. The Almighty Architect of the Universe said a final, Well Done!
Realizing there was life after death according to the Holy Scripture, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, neighbor and loyal friend prayed for conversion to Christianity, publicly confess Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, was water baptized and united with the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church of Dodson, LA. As she grew spiritually and in age, she became a part of the Raybon Hill Baptist Church in Tannehill community and remained faithful member and part of the Board of Ushers until God called her home.
Education was an important part of her life. She completed high school studies at the Pinecrest High School in Winnfield and went on to earn the nursing credential at the Huey P. Long Vocational School in Winnfield.
Her employment resume’ included working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Winn Parish Medical Center for 18 years and also being a part of the medical staff as a nurse at the Jackson Parish Hospital in Jonesboro as a CNA. Her professional effort was dedicated to helping the infirmed.
This unforgettable lady united in Holy Matrimony to the late Technical Sergeant Esau Walker and this union was blessed with a beloved daughter, Angela Nicole Walker.
Preceding her in death were parents, John and Willie Mae McGuire; her husband, Esau Walker; siblings: two brothers, Nolan McGuire and Willie Holman, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Ethel McGuire and one granddaughter, Christian Faith Walker.
She will be forever treasured in the hearts and minds of those who survive her: a daughter, Angela Nicole Walker of Winnfield, LA; two grandchildren: Lamara Walker of Shreveport, LA and London Walker of Winnfield, LA; two great grandchildren: Khrystian Walker and Teigan Walker both of Shreveport, LA, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
No repass to follow.
