What a beautiful, virtuous, Proverbs 31 woman! Although my heart is heavy, I rejoice in having known Momma Jones and being loved by her. To Karen, Jill, and Angie, may her memories bring you peace. I love you. The McKinley family loves you!

Mae Attrice Jones, affectionately called Mama, Grandmother, and Gigi by her family and friends, was born on January 20, 1929, in Parks, Louisiana, to Albert and Fabiola Ebow. From the very beginning, her life has been grounded in faith, family, and love.
Attrice met and married Hilton Jones, Sr., and together they built a beautiful life, raising six children —three sons and three daughters—who were the pride and joy of her heart. Mae was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her devoted husband, Hilton Jones, Sr.; and her sons Hilton Jones, Jr. (Sonny), Clyde Jones, and Alvin Jones. On Monday, March 9, 2026, she peacefully departed this life and entered her eternal rest, reunited with those she loved who had gone before her.
Throughout her life, Attrice was admired for her gentle spirit and artistic talents. She took delight in cultivating beautiful gardens and crafting elegant hairstyles that made others feel confident and cared for. As the owner and operator of Courtesy Beauty Shop for over 20 years, she not only styled hair but also fostered friendships and uplifted spirits within her community. Her kind, sweet, and gracious nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Attrice was a devoted and faithful member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, where she served in the Lady Sodality, living her faith through service and fellowship.
She shared a close and loving bond with her sister, Marie Wiltz, and her brother, Albert Ebow, Jr., both of whom preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving daughters, Karren Thomas, Jill Phillips, and Angela Clark; her daughters-in-law, Eliza Jones and Alice Jones; 13 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed by her love and wisdom.
We are forever grateful for the gift of her life. Her love, strength, and gentle presence will remain in our hearts always, and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
