Juanelle Goodman "Sam" passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 82. Born in Ohio on March 28, 1943, Sam lived a life defined by love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to others.A force of nature with a heart full of wisdom, Sam dedicated her life to her family. She was a well-respected educator in the plumbing industry, where she found deep purpose in helping others obtain their licenses and build meaningful careers. Her guidance and encouragement opened doors for countless individuals, and her legacy lives on in the lives she helped shape.Sam is survived by her daughters Kortney (Michael) Rich and Laura (Phil) Rhodes; her son Michael Goodman; her beloved niece Sheli May; her granddaughter Kendall (Steven) Sanderson; and her great-grandchildren Kaison and Emmery. She was preceded in death by her daughter Shana Thomas and grandson Alex Thomas. Each of her loved ones carries forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion.She found joy in the simple pleasures-reading a good book, enjoying her Starbucks coffee, tending to her garden, and cheering on her beloved Cardinals. Christmas was her favorite day of the year. She loved the spirit of the season-the lights, the music, the giving, and bringing the family together. Above all, Sam loved helping people. Whether offering a warm smile, a listening ear, or a wise word, she was always there-steadfast, generous, and full of grace.Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
