Ms. Louise Walker of 603West 23rd Avenue, Cordele, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your mask.
Louise Walker was born on October 7, 1955, in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia, to Jerry Lane and Dicie Mae Ola Jackson Walker. Louise was educated in the Crisp County Public School system and attended A. S. Clark High School. Her upbringing in Cordele was marked by strong community ties and lasting relationships that she maintained over the years.
Louise confessed hope in Christ and became a member of Odum Grove Baptist Church. Her faith guided her through both joyful and challenging times.
Louise was known for her vibrant personality and love for life. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, always ensuring there was never a dull moment. Her infectious laughter and spirited nature made her the life of the party, and she was celebrated for her ability to bring happiness to those around her.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Calonda Walker, her grandson Lonnie, her siblings Willene Quarterman, Dicie Pearl Walker, Renita Walker, and Isiah Walker, as well as her aunt, Leila Jackson.
Louise Walker passed away on October 1, 2025, just six days shy of her 70th birthday. Her life was a testament to joy, resilience, and love. She touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those she met along way. Her spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved her.
Surviving Louise are her beloved children: Veronica (Reggie) Lawrence of Cordele, Georgia, Shenita (Michael) Bridges of Fort Worth, Texas, Dawanda Walker, Shemeka (Vernon) Sanders, and Sherieka Walker, all of Cordele, Georgia; her adored grandchildren: Y'Keeshia (Latoya), Marqurion, Michael, Mineka (Dominque), Alexius, Demarcus, Keonte, John Jr., Johntavious, Johnesia (Val), James, Ashanti, Gary, Latravious, A'derious, and Dewane; 28 great-grandchildren; her sister, Van E. Walker of Valdosta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, to include a special cousin, Jerry Dean Jackson of Cordele, Georgia; many friends, including her special friends, Delois Barner, Eboney Jones, and Elbert Adams.
