Obituary

Ms. Rose's Obituary

Ms. Rose Mary Watts was born on September 20, 1941, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Mary Francis Watts and Robert Watts. She moved with her family to Beaumont's historic Pear Orchard Community during her childhood and attended local schools. Rose graduated from Hebert High School in 1960 and later trained at Beauty School to become a professional beautician. She loved styling hair for her clients and built many friendships over her career in the beauty industry.

In Rose's free time, she loved to read and enjoy brain-teasing fun with crossword puzzles and word searches, as well as quality family time working on jigsaw puzzles together.

Rose passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She is preceded in death by her siblings, James Watts and Dorothy Watts. She leaves cherished memories to her children, Cindy Ruffin (Clifford), Rodney May (Greta), and Chad Batiste; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
