Nadezda “Nada”'s Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nadezda “Nada” Vasilevski (née Naumovski), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nada was born on June 15, 1935, in the village of Pokrvenik, Macedonia, to her loving parents Luba and Tode Naumovski. She was the cherished sister of Dragan (late) and Jordanka.

In 1973, Nada immigrated to the United States with her devoted husband Kosta and their daughter Jovanka, settling in Lorain, where they built a beautiful life together. Nada worked diligently for Lorain City Schools until her retirement, always showing the same care and dedication that she gave to her family and community.

Nada was known for her warmth, generosity, and incredible talents. She was an amazing cook and baker, best known for her signature zelniks and one-of-a-kind baklava. She found joy in gardening and crocheting, filling her home with beauty, comfort, and love.

Above all, Nada treasured her family. She took great pride in spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Nada will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter Jovanka (Kire) Stevoff, grandsons Kliment, Stefche (Sandy), and David (Kristina) Stevoff and a great granddaughter Ariana Stevoff.

May her memory be eternal.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday October 8, 2025, at Saint Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church, 38665 French Creek Rd., Avon, Ohio 44011, from 4pm to 7pm. Parastas will be at 6 pm. Funeral service will be at the Church, Thursday October 9, 2025 at 10 am. The Very Reverend Father Dragi Trpevski, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
