Not sure what to say?

I knew Nancy at Careview as a volunteer. She always attended the activities and enjoyed being around people. She was sensitive to the needs of others. Always a kind word and called you by your name. My prayers and sympathy for all who knew and loved Nancy. She is missed and was a blessing to all.

Nancy was my Mom's only niece. She made all of her clothes when she was a child. My Mom loved her. She was my cousin Nancy and my sister Nancy was named after her. She was such a sweet, nice lady. Although we did not see each other that often, the times we did were very special. She always sent her Christmas card with little notes of what was going on in her life and always ending with a blessing and "love, Nancy". I will miss her and cherish her memory.

Nancy Lee Elitzer

August 26, 1935 ~ November 20, 2025

Age ~ 90

Nancy Lee Elitzer, 90, passed away on November 20, 2025, at Careview Health & Rehab in Monocqua.

Nancy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 26, 1935. She grew up in Bayview, Wisconsin, and enjoyed traveling throughout the city with her friends on the streetcars!  After graduating from Bay View High School at age 16, she then attended Downer College in Milwaukee.  She married Warren Elitzer in 1954, and they had one son, Brooks. She lived and worked in Milwaukee and Greendale, Wisconsin, until retiring from a career in banking in 1988 as Branch Operations Officer and Manager of First Wisconsin’s flagship branch in downtown Milwaukee.  She and Warren then moved to St. Germain, and both were active in numerous community organizations and in the United Church of Christ of St. Germain.  Nancy enjoyed reading, cooking, and crafting, but most of all she loved dogs, especially her companion dogs, Barney, Teddy and Jasper.

She is survived by her son, Brooks, (Becky) Elitzer of St. Germain, granddaughter Grace, (Arron) Simonson of Greendale, great-granddaughters Constance and Ridley, step-granddaughters Emily Biertzer, Sara Johnson, and Maggie Jo Sanderson and their families, and special friend Joan Van Hoozen of St. Germain.

Her husband Warren preceded her in death in 2001.

The family would like to thank Careview Health and Rehabilitation of Minocqua for their special care, especially Brian and Kathy.
