Not sure what to say?

I was thinking about Nancy as her birthday would have been tomorrow. Our birthdays were 4 days apart and we were jokingly the twins when we were in high school. We exchanged cards and updates until the last few years. She was a dear friend over the years and I am glad that she is now at peace and in a much better place. Miss you Nancy!

I miss Nancy! She was a kind, funny and interesting coworker and friend at St Raymond School. I always enjoyed her stories and sense of humor. She had lived such a full and diverse life that she could relate on so many topics. She was also my daughters teacher. I found her very consistent and fair. She really enjoyed the kids and the process of
learning. She was a woman of faith who lived a faith filled life. May she Rest In Peace.

What a beautiful legacy Nancy leaves. My condolences to the thousands of family, friends, and students that were privileged to have known and been influenced by Nancy. "And He will raise you up on Eagles' Wings....and hold you in the palm of His hand.".

Nancy was a friend worth having. Having known her first at Sandburg High and St. Michael Parish, and then down at U of I, I was so happy to make contact with her again after far too many years, on Facebook, and to follow her adventures as she shared them. Was thankful to see her again at the Sandburg 40th reunion, but sorry for how short our visit was.

I knew Nancy at Carl Sandburg H.S. She was vivacious and indeed, always flashed her great smile. My condolences to her family.

I am very sorry to hear that Nancy passed away. I was her psychology and she was a wonderful student with a wonderful personality.

This breaks my heart. I had Mrs. Halbauer was my gym teacher all four years at queen of peace. She was awesome. Her energy and spunkiness consumed that gym. She cared about every single person that she came across. I remember seeing her every morning pulling up in her red convertible del sol car. I remember always thinking that I wish I could get a great tan like her. She will truly be missed.

Such an extraordinary life for an extraordinary woman. She will certainly be missed by many in the St. Raymond community. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. God Bless. The Wrona family

What an outstanding life of service. God's speed Nancy.
