I have no words to express how saddened I was to hear about the news of Nancy´s unexpected passing. We were friends for many years and had lots of fun adventures. She was always willing to go out to eat, see a movie, go to the theater, enjoy local concerts. Wishing her family and other friends peace, comfort, and healing.

When I learned about Nancy's sudden passing, I was and still am in total shock. I have known Nancy since 1990, when she was my supervisor/mentor at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, during my internship as a Medical Social Worker. I was so very sorry to hear of Nancy's death. Honestly, she was far too young to die. I send many hugs to her family and closest friends. Nancy and I were colleagues at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for several years in the 1980s, and we ate lunch together many, many times. She was kind, friendly and always laughed at my jokes. Nancy L. Koenig, age 72. Devoted daughter of the late Bernard and Sally (Seefor) Koenig. Beloved sister of Dr. Linda J. Koenig (Andrew Gross) and Joel Koenig (Cathleen Brandt). Loving aunt of Benjamin Gross, Dr. Seth Koenig, and Micah Koenig. Nancy received her BSW and MSW degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was a retired social worker, spending most of her career at Northwestern Memorial Hospital following positions at Illinois Masonic Hospital and Council for the Jewish Elderly.
