Not sure what to say?

To Nancys family I give you my deepest sympathy as she was a kind and wonderful person. I will really miss the goofy emails she would write me all the time. She will be greatly missed by all the people that knew and loved her. I amso sorry I wont be able to attend her funeral but I just lost my mom who was Nancys godmother and it just is to hard for me right now. I would like to remember her the way I do. Nancy was very supportive of me during my moms illness and I will always cherish that....

Such a kind lady. The best candy maker around! Condolences to her family and friends.

Always enjoyed seeing Nancy at town events and her and Karl at craft fairs proud of there honey. RIP our sympathy’s to all the family

Age ~ 72

Nancy Tauer (Nancy Meyers), age 72, of Hiles, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, under the care of Howard Young Medical Center.

She was a loving wife to her late husband Karl Tauer and will be deeply missed by her family: her sister, Dawn Christiansen, brother-in-law, Virgil Christiansen; her son, Edward Lieber, her daughter, Kelly Saylor; grandchildren, Nicole Raths, Veronica Lieber, Robert Lieber, Cheyanne Saylor, Daniel Saylor, and Codie Pemberton; her niece Kimberly Kope, her nephew, Micheal Watson as well as many other relatives. She was a cherished friend to many.

Nancy grew up in Marshfield, and eventually settled in Hiles, WI. She was a talented baker, always eager to share her homemade treats with others. She also loved gardening, watching hummingbirds, and sewing with her husband. She was a crafter, gardener, beekeeper, and loved fishing, always ready to go catch some fish! She was adventurous, well-traveled, and always enjoyed returning to the nature around her in the north woods. Nancy absolutely loved the beauty in the nature around her and even more so enjoyed spending time in her apple orchard. Nancy belonged to the Christ Lutheran Church of Hiles. She embraced the local community with her dedication to the volunteer fire rescue, pool league, and church commitments. Her and her husband enjoyed attending craft fairs in Wisconsin together selling everything from honey, and soap, to canned apple pie filing. They did this under their company “Tauer’s Berries & Bees” with produce grown off their land together. Nancy had a remarkable ability to always speak her mind and follow her own path in life. Above all, she loved fiercely.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at Christ Lutheran of Hiles, WI. (9139 S Main St. Hiles, WI 54511) Saturday, March 15, 2025, beginning at noon. Visitation 12-12:30, Service 12:30, with Rev. Karl Schultz officiating and a prompt lunch to follow. For more information, please reach out to her granddaughter, Nicole Raths at [email protected].
