Not sure what to say?

A nice lady, great neighbor and wonderful mom. She will be missed by all of us. But she'll also be able to see Nate and Woody and Mr VanderWoude again. It's tough for us to carry on down here, but we have so many good memories to help us through the hard times. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.

So sorry to hear this sad news about Nancy. I have so many fond memories going back about as far as I can remember, traveling to Chicago back in the 70s to visit the Clarks and VanderWoudes—relatives on our mom’s side. Nancy and her family were such fun to spend time with. When I last had the chance to speak with her over the phone just a few years back she hadn’t changed a bit! Our chat over the phone felt like stepping into a Time Machine. We played many, many games of “Words With Friends”...

Sending love and prayers to her dear family. Nancy was a person who showed joy and compassion to others. She always made me smile. She found a way to bring laughter to a situation.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Mom

If a single photo could summarize my mother's life.. her joy, her zest for living life, embracing the fun times..

VanderWoude family 1972

I'm ever so truly blessed to have had such a loving, courageous, kind mother. She taught me to want to be the best person I could be. I'd have done anything for her, to make her proud, to keep her comfortable.
I love you, mom, always and forever! Give dad, John, Jeff, Grandma and Grandpa big hugs from me!

Nancy w.as an awesome mom, grandma , great grandma and a friend to many. She was always so full of life even beating cancer 5x . My prayers are with you Terri and Brenda may God comfort you during this difficult time. I will miss seeing her around all of the Thornton gatherings.

sorry forgot to add my name to original post. praying for you guys

Dearest Grandma, I am proud to be related to you; you're funny, kind, groovy, fun, loving, responsible, caring, and strong! Always wearing your earrings and makeup, you made sure to visit with family whenever possible. I'll try to serve at church and send birthday cards, like you, when I'm older☺ I'm so grateful we got to spend time together before your body gave out on you, and knowing that you're home in heaven makes grieving easier. I enjoyed her presence when I saw her & we joked how awesome we were because we share the same name..
