Natalie was born on July 28, 1928 in Benjamin, Texas to the late Fidel Lujan and Mercedes Munoz Lujan. She married the love of her life, Jaime Armendarez, on April 24, 1949 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Natalie lived a full life. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of the Guadalupanas. A woman of many talents, Natalie loved celebrating each holiday, giving her a reason to decorate her home. Christmas was her favorite time of year and brought her joy decorating her mantel with a beautiful life-size manger scene, filling her home with the birth of Christ. Tradition was important to her especially at Christmas with her grandchildren adoring the Christ child with kisses. She enjoyed crafting, going thrifting, cooking, traveling, and gardening with a passion for roses. Natalie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed.
Natalie came from a large family. Along with her parents, Fidel and Mercedes Lujan, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Jaime Armendarez; her sisters, Guadalupe, Maria, Virginia, Consuelo, Dora, and Matilda; her brothers, Ramon and Manuel; and her daughter, Laura Espinoza.
She is survived by her daughters, Christina Hutson and husband Don, and Jamie Arredondo and husband John; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Fidel Lujan; her sister, Lupe Hernandez; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
For those desiring, the family requests memorials be made in honor of Natalie to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 400 Cypress Ave., Wichita Falls, TX 76310 (howf.org)
