Not sure what to say?

My condolences to Bob and Wimpie on the loss of your grandson. "Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted."

Nate was and always will be a bright light in my life. His joyous smile, his quick kindness when I asked for help, he was the first person to volunteer when asked. He was always funny, we laughed so much during our work day. His faith was beautiful and his smile and laugh infectious. I will always miss you. Thank you for making my life better with your smile.

I absolutely loved Nate! He lit up my day whenever our paths crossed!! I’m so deeply saddened of the loss of my friend!! Thoughts and prayers to his Family and Friends, please know he is loved by many!!

Nathaniel's Obituary

Nathaniel Reeves Bennett, 25, passed away on April 30, 2025.

Born and raised in Williamsburg, VA, Nate graduated from Jamestown High School in 2018 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2023. He found meaning and purpose serving the broader community through his work at Guernsey Tingle Architects, where he was surrounded by dear and like-minded colleagues who shared his belief in preserving human dignity and fostering connection through thoughtfully designed spaces.

Nate was a bright light whose positive energy ignited every environment he entered. He was ready to listen, slow to judge, and eager to uplift those around him. His life was a testimony to his deep faith in Jesus Christ. His greatest passion was sharing the gospel through music; he was rarely seen without a guitar or a Bible in hand. Nate will be remembered for many things, but perhaps most of all for his heart for others: his love of exploring different cultural perspectives, his sense of humility, his joy in building relationships, and praise of his Savior.

Nate is survived by his loving parents Alan Bennett, Melissa Pokorny Bennett, brother Casey Bennett, grandparents Connie Pokorny, Robert and Winnie Bennett, and many other loving family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in Nate’s honor in late June.
