Nellie was so sweet, loving, and kindhearted. Her love for the Lord and her family was devoted. Her smile beamed and her hugs were sincere! She was one of many first cousins to our mother, and they were very close-knit. They supported one another through many of life’s challenges and relied on their rock solid faith to do so. Obituary

Nellie's Obituary

FULTON - Nellie Sue Coker, 90, passed away Saturday morning, November 29, 2025, at The Meadows.  She was born August 13, 1935, in Itawamba County to Humbert and Coy Wayne Dulaney Lauderdale. She worked for Warwick in Zion, Ill., and Itawamba Manufacturing before working for Mueller Industries for 25 years. She then went to work at the Artesian Restaurant and the ICC Cafeteria. Nellie was a member of the Church of Christ and loved flower gardening.

 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Ministers J.C. Enlow and Steve Shappley officiating. Burial will be in the Saucer Creek Cemetery.

 

Survivors include her son, Andy Coker (Dee), and daughter, Lisa Coker, all of Fulton; two sisters, Agnes Gray of Fulton and Linda Rainwater of Florence, AL; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Hue Coker; one son, Robert Coker; one grandson, John Coker; two great-grandchildren, Carson Jack Ramage and Matthew Hood; one sister, Dorothy Wilemon; and one brother, Delferd "Hum" Lauderdale.

 

Pallbearers will be Allen Coker, Caul Coker, Charlie Ramage, Josh Hood, and Michael Coker.

 

Visitation will be from noon until service time Tuesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
