Newt Van Cleave Jr.

Fairmont, MN;Memorial service for Newt Van Cleave Jr., 79, of Fairmont, MN, will be 10:30 A.M. on Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel in Fairmont with military honors provided by the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County V.F.W. Post 1222. Inurnment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Lakeview Funeral Home. Newt passed away on Monday evening, July 14, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his daughter, Darlene Riley of Cory, IL; brother, Jack Van Cleave of Henderson, KY; sisters, Minnie Stewart of Henderson, KY, Sue Snodgrass of Basket, IL, and Regina Adkins of Denver, CO. Along with his parents, Newt Sr. and Marteen (Keller) Van Cleave, Newt was preceded by his brother, Thomas Van Cleave; and sisters, Rosalie and Jean Van Cleave.www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
