Nick was a great family man, and educator!

Mr. Garner was the nicest, most pleasant person I know. Having known him as a principal at Fairmont Middle School, I found him to be fair and honest with the best interest of his students and teachers at heart. May you find comfort and peace in your wonderful memories in the days ahead.

Nick was my uncle and a truly remarkable man. Without a doubt, he led an upright life and In my view, was the Standard. As one personal example, looking back to my earlier years transitioning from high school to college, it was clear that both my father and uncle Nick had some underlying concerns as to my qualifications for NC State and quietly developed a plan they felt would give me the best chance at succeeding.
