Nicki's Obituary

Nicki Lucia – Of Peabody, formerly of Medford, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. She was 91 years old. Born in Boston, Nicki was the beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Maria Civita (Ferrone) DiMeo. From a very young age, she developed a keen interest in investing, a passion that paved the way for her future success. She loved following the stock market and was always eager to discuss investment opportunities with others. Nicki was an exceptionally intelligent woman who spoke three languages, allowing her to form meaningful connections with people around the world. She embraced life with enthusiasm; if there was an opportunity to dance, Nicki was always the first on the dance floor. She also enjoyed traveling and golfing. Nicki’s courage, strength, and vibrant spirit will never be forgotten. Beloved sister of Robert DiMeo and his wife Nancy of Dunstable, Anthony “Tony” S. DiMeo and his wife Susan of Somerville, and the late Frances Hines and her late husband Douglas of Arlington. Cherished aunt of Karen Hines Meneghini, Laura Dimeo, Michael DiMeo, John Daniel “Danny” Thomas and the late Paula Hines Silva. Also survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Friday, February 6th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Followed by a service held in the Bigelow Chapel at Mt. Auburn Cemetery for 12:30PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be held at a later date.
