Not sure what to say?

Sending much love and prayers. Myself and my three siblings all were blessed with having Mrs. Forren as our first-grade teacher. Her dedication and love of teaching inspired me to follow her footsteps. I always wanted to teach in her room. It was bright and colorful. Nila also came to the funeral home when my oldest brother passed away several years ago and that meant the world to me. Nila was a wonderful and happy soul. She will be missed.

Mrs. Forren was my first grade teacher at Zela Grade School in 1956. She also taught my two daughters. I still remember how she so patiently helped each student who may have been struggling. Everytime I saw her over the years, she always asked about my family.
I will always remember her as one of the nicest lady. I send condolences to you, Ellen, Tim and your families. She will be missed by many.

Ellen and Family,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and grandmother. She was such a loving and caring individual and educator. She was so welcoming and helpful when I first began my career at Summersville Elementary. I will never forget all the good times with your mother, Grandma Betty, Sid, and Janice downstairs in our own little world at SES! She always had anything and everything one would need packed in her room. Her smile was so contagious. My thoughts and...

Ellen,
I am so sorry to hear of your family’s great loss! Nila and Gilbert were probably one of the first families we got to know when moving to Nicholas county besides our family! They were such fine and loving people that will never be forgotten!!! You and the family have all of our love and prayers! ❤

She was always a Ray of light in people lives that she knew. I always got my hug from her everytime we crossed paths. God Bless the Family.

Nila was always so sweet. She was my first grade teacher and a cousin down the line (she always attended our Strickland reunion). I was just thinking of her rhe other day because I hadn't seen her out in so long. My thoughts are with all of the family.

Tim,
I am saddened to read of your mother's passing. Please know my thoughts & prayers are with you and your family during this time.

Thinking of all the family. Tell Tim Wanda say Hi.

She was absolutely the sweetest lady. Anytime saw her always a sweet hug and conversation. So sorry for the family’s loss. Thoughts and prayers, Deb Jackson
