My deepest condolences to the family. An old childhood friend who I remember playing with at Hawthorne Hills. Rest in Peace darling.

Nono was a joy to be around! I would always look forward to getting together with Brandon's family on special occasions. She could always bring a smile to my face!
So thankful we were recently all together to celebrate Bryce and Kendra's wedding. Nono and I had some fun conversations that night!! :)

My heart goes out to the family and am very sorry for your loss. She was an amazing woman. She was like a sister to everyone. This is a reminder on just how short life is. She believed in me when others didn't so much . Thank you No No I will miss you and am very blessed to have known you.

Nolita's Obituary

Nolita Oriana Gretten, 47 of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Homegoing services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Gospel Tabernacle Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.  A private family inurnment will be at a later date.  Arrangements are with Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids. 

Nolita was born November 26, 1968 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Murray Hillsman and Angela (Hauke) Gretten.  She attended Metro High School in Cedar Rapids.  Nolita was working for Nordstroms.  She enjoyed gambling, having a good time, and spending time with her many friends and family, especially her grandkids.        

Nolita is survived by her son, Zachary (Heather) Gretten; daughter, Mercedes (Steve) Gretten; two grandchildren, Dezmun Butler and Elijah Butler and one on the way; her brothers, Butch (Pam) Gretten and Murray Hillsman; her sisters, JackieMae (Laken), Deanna Gretten (Tammy), Victoria Robinson, Valeria Hillsman, and Tammy Smith; her nieces, Tiffany (Lewis) Williams, Keri Gretten (Ele and Cy), and Alexa Gretten; her nephews, Khristian Wright, Drew (Jen) Hebert, Bryce (Kendra) Gretten, Brandon (Tiffany) Bilek, Nick Gretten, and Dakota Gretten; along with her extended family, the Robinson family and the Jennings family.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
